Smith Tower is one of the oldest high rise buildings in Seattle and reigned as the tallest building in the city from 1914 until 1962. In fact, Smith Tower was the tallest building on the West Coast of the United States until the construction of the Seattle Space Needle in 1962, featuring a distinctive pyramid crown and neoclassical architecture.
